Cauliflower Keema

Keema is a traditional Indian dish made with ground lamb and peas seasoned with delicious Indian spices. Our easy peezy vegan version uses riced cauliflower and the Adda Veggie Indian Masala Blend. This dish takes just minutes to make, but the result is truly an Indian delicacy! Perfect for weeknight meals or potlucks.

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups riced cauliflower (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 tomato

  • ½ cup frozen green peas, thawed

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

  • Pinch salt

  • 1 handful of cilantro (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Follow directions on the package to prepare an Adda Veggie crumble using the riced cauliflower.

  2. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.  When hot, add the Adda Veggie mixture to the pan, cook for 3 minutes and then turn over and cook for 2 more minutes. Then add 1 additional tbsp of oil and and sauté until browned, turning often. Remove from the pan into a serving dish and cover to keep warm.

  3. Dice tomato into small, ¼-inch pieces.

  4. Sauté tomatoes and green peas in the same pan for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir into Adda Veggie Cauliflower Keema. Top with cilantro and serve hot with a side of rice or naan.
